Divine Introspection

So I am nearing the end of my first semester at University. It’s been going really well so far but the level of work, even at this early stage, is getting ridiculous. I barely have enough time to get it all done, let alone draw any comics. So unfortunately this means the comic, for those who hadn’t already guessed, is officially on hiatus. I am far from being finished with Divine Introspection and continue to write strips in my mind, I just have literally no time to get them drawn…as I’ve mentioned before, they often take me a whole week to produce. I wish I could draw quicker! I have over a month off at Christmas (hopefully with no work to do) so I aim to get some strips churned out then. Thanks for your emails letting me know you miss the strip and a big shout out to Dee

On a slightly grumpier note, I’ve had a few emails from people letting me know about a few places that seem to be using some of my strips, characters and images without my permission. Obviously this isn’t cool. If anyone wants to use any of my stuff just ask first, I will more than likely say yes!

Ok so there’s no comic today. I’ll put my cards on the table here, I just didn’t feel like it this week. I’m run off my feet at work trying to get things tied up before I finish (in 3 weeks!!) and it kinda took it’s toll on me creatively. The good news is that I’ve had a couple of great ideas for strips and intend to get working straight away. Hopefully I will have one finished over the weekend at some point

With all the excitement this week I totally forgot that I have to work this weekend so there won’t be a new comic til next friday. Feel sorry for me, I’m working at T in the Park. It’s Scotland’s largest outdoor music festival and I hate it. Get back on Sunday night. See you on the other side.

First of all, sorry for being so secretive. I didn’t want to say anything until I knew it was definate. After an incredibly intense period of hard work (and a touch of stress :p) I have just been unconditionally offered a place on an amazing degree course at an extremely well respected art college. I left the army 3 years ago, when I was 23 (after joining at 17). Since then I have worked a job that has ground me down and I really lost direction with my life. This course means that I can leave the job that I hate, in order to study things that I am genuinely interested in and passionate about. This is huge for me.

Thankyou so much to everyone who has emailed or commented support, you guys are truly awesome. Friday updates will now resume, although forgive me for the impending lateness of this week’s. Right now I’m getting drunk.
